Perfect Multi-Generational Vacation Villa for a Large Group<\/strong><\/p>\n

We recently spent a week at Villa Defina with a large multi-generational family group, and it exceeded our expectations. Having stayed at several rental properties on St. John over the years, we can confidently say this was one of the best-equipped and best-maintained homes we’ve experienced.<\/p>\n

The outdoor space was fantastic for a large group. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out without feeling on top of one another, yet the layout still kept us connected. We especially appreciated the variety of seating and gathering areas, with a nice mix of sun and shade throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Inside, the main kitchen, dining, and living areas were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful views and enough room for everyone to gather without feeling cramped. The bedrooms were clean, well-appointed, and met all of our needs.<\/p>\n

The Sonos system throughout the home and outdoor spaces was quite nice and made it easy to enjoy music wherever we were gathering. The two stand alone ice makers, in addition to the one in the kitchen freezer, were incredibly useful for filling coolers for beach days. The kitchen itself was well-stocked and featured higher-quality cookware and equipment than we typically find in vacation rentals, making it easy to prepare meals for our entire group.<\/p>\n

Other amenities that stood out included the extra washer and dryer set, which was extremely helpful for a large group, and the extensive collection of beach gear. The snorkel equipment, beach wagon, coolers, and other beach essentials were all in great condition. Midweek housekeeping was another appreciated perk that helped refresh the house and keep everything comfortable for our group. Being able to open the living area with the screened panels was also nice on pleasant evenings.<\/p>\n

The owner was also very accommodating, allowing us to bring additional children beyond the stated occupancy. The kids were perfectly comfortable on air mattresses, and there was still plenty of room for everyone.<\/p>\n

No vacation rental is completely immune from minor issues, so we tend to judge a property by how those issues are handled. Any small concerns that arose during our stay were addressed promptly, and we always felt well taken care of. The only minor inconvenience was that the temperature settings are controlled through the property manager, but whenever we requested adjustments, they were made quickly and without issue.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, I can’t point to anything that felt in need of an upgrade or repair. The home is beautiful, spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped for large groups. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.<\/p>\n<\/div>

“A St. John vacation at its best. This outstanding villa on the hillside over Peter Bay offers beautiful views in a very private and quiet location. The villa is beautifully decorated and well appointed. Each guest room has a different decor, each with private bath and open air shower, private balcony and with all the amenities. The villa has plenty of outdoor patios both open and covered, with bars, jacuzzi and infinity pool. The game room has a pool table and bar on the lower level. Beaches are everywhere, we did a different one each day, all beautiful! Restaurants are a drive but taxis will pick up and take you anywhere. All worth the stay in this beautifully secluded spot.
